I appreciated their e-mail explaining that they will need to mail the ink separately. I also appreciated how beautiful the item looks. I subtracted a star because the box itself was wrapped with packing tape. It completely ruined the presentation. It would have been a much nicer presentation if they used a ribbon instead of packing tape to make sure that the box stays closed during shipment.

It is absolutely beautiful. I'm in love with the set. Sadly it isnt for me so I wont know about the writing quality till I give it to the person it belongs to. Other than that, it was packaged really nicely, the feather was a little array but that was fine. And its absolutely gorgeous. I plan on buying myself one in the future!

I'm unsure how the quality of the product will actually be in use as this is a gift for someone else, but it is beautiful and was gift box packaged very nicely! They must have taken some reviews to heart about the shipping quality as the item I received was fully enclosed in sturdy blowup tubes type bubblewrap. No way the gift set box itself was getting damaged in transit! Other than waiting weeks for it to arrive on a literal "slow boat from China", this will make a great gift (provided it actually writes nicely once she receives it from me). I'll update my review if it does not, but for now, highly recommend!

I ordered the dip pen set. It took a long time to come in the first time. When it arrived it was in a large bag with ZERO packing and ZERO concern for getting it here in one piece. The "gift box" was smashed, the feather was broken in half and all of the other parts were damaged because they broke loose in shipping. I got an RMA from the shipper and went to the post office. They sent me a prepaid label for one pound, but the box was two pounds. It cost me 14.80 to ship it back to them. When I complained, they gave me store credit. The second time the item I purchased was shipped to me it was done exactly the same way. The "gift box" was damaged and the feather and several other parts had broken loose during shipping. The feather was damaged, but in a way I would live with because it wasn't worth the hassle. I will NEVER buy anything from this company again, so my $14.80 store credit is B.S.
